S/Sgt Harry R. Stehnach attended high school for four years and was a cook.

He joined the Air Corps of the Regular Army in Washington, District of Columbia on 10 February 1941.

The airplane was shot down over the North Sea by a Fw 190A of JG11. The location of the crash is probably 5357N-0514E.

The entire crew of eleven men was killed and their remains were never recovered.

Only S/Sgt Stehnach is remembered at the Walls of the Missing at Margraten. The other ten men are commemorated at the Tablets of the Missing at Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial.
