T/5 Idus F. Coleman was a sales clerk before he enlisted at Camp Blanding in Florida on 23 July 1942.

The airplane was shot down by Obfw Robert Roller in a BF 109G-5 from JG 3/6.

The entire crew of ten men was killed. Two of them are remembered on the Walls of the Missing at Margraten, the other eight are remembered at the Tablets of the Missing at Cambridge Cemetery.
