1st Lt Richard C. Berryman graduated from St Ambrose Catholic School and Calver Hall College. He was employed by Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.He received his wings in January 1943 and was on submarine patrol duty in the Caribbean for a year. Returning to the United States Lt Berryman was an instructor at South Dakota air base. He joined the 8th Air Force in January 1945.
A/C 600 was hit by flak after bombs away at target. #3 engine was knocked out and A/C fell back out of formation under control. Continued on course following formation ans was last definitely seen at 1240 hours at 5255N-0946E. No chutes reported.
