T/5 George Rosenblum attended college for two years and was a buyer and department head in a store before he enlisted at Fort Jay, New York on 7 April 1942.

He died of wounds caused by artillery shell fragments.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand Failly, France.
