Pvt Clifford Vanderpool was a driver at the Updike Lumber Company before he enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 4 April 1944. He was sent overseas in October 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand Failly, France.
