Sgt Roy R. Kitzman was a truck driver at the National Tea Company before he enlisted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 28 March 1942.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.

He is remembered at the Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin.
