Sgt Albert Thomas attended high school for four years before he enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 6 April 1942.He was seriously wounded on 19 November 1944 by a sniper as he was looking out of the top opening of his tank. He died the next day.
The World War II Honor Board on one of the pictures was designed by his father in honor of those who died in World War II and stands at the corner of Reynolds St. and 2nd St. in Plymouth, Pennsylvania.
