S/Sgt Kenneth D. Olson graduated from Fargo High School and attended North Dakota Agriculture Collage.

He enlisted in July 1943 and was selected for the ASTP program. He was sent overseas in October 1944.

He was crossing a bridge over the Danube River in Kelheim, Germany, when he tripped and fell off the treadway, striking his head and was knocked unconscious after which he drowned. His body was found a month later.
