Pvt Paul B. Helms attended Central and Davis Tech High School.He was married to Jo Ann Bard on 21 September 1940.
He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 15 April 1944 and was sent overseas in September 1944. He had only been in combat for two weeks when he was killed.
He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Hochfelden, France.
