Pvt Louis J. Maltempo was employed by the Rochester Box and Lumber Company before he enlisted in Rochester, New York on 26 March 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his buttocks and hip.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
