Pfc Bennie L. Burris was employed at the Turner Day And Woolworth Handle Company before he enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 21 December 1942.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his face.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
