Pvt Robert M. Parker graduated from Portland High School and was employed in the New Haven General Hospital.He joined the National Guard in New Haven, Connecticut on 24 February 1941.
He died in a hospital from the effects of artillery shell fragments and several infectons.
Pvt Parker was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Champigneul, France.
