Pvt John W. Bell was a mechanic and repairman of motor vehicles before he enlisted at Camp Blanding, Florida on 18 June 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his back and leg.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
