Wilbur J. Potter Was sent overseas in early 1944 and was part of his unit when it landed in Normandy and the second day of the invasion.He was subjected to an enemy artillery barrage at which time he was killed by shell fragments.
He is remembered at the Wharton Cemetery in Bosworth, Missouri.
