Pfc Francis A. Fiezl graduated from St. James High School and had completed his third year at the University of Florida.He enlisted at Camp Blanding, Florida on 26 August 1944. He trained at Camp Blanding and was sent overseas in January 1945.
His brother Charles is remembered at the Tablets of the Missing at the American Military Cemetery in Manilla, Philippines.
