More information

A/C 407 had a mid-air collision with A/C 44-8080 after latter had been hit by flak over target at 1318 hours. Plane caught fire and broke apart before hitting ground. Three men were thrown free from aircraft when the ships collided. They survived the crash and ended up POW. The remaining 6 crew members were KIA.

S/Sgt Harry L. Goodwin first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Ardennes, Belgium Block T, Row 8, Grave 194.
