Pvt Donn H. Imrie graduated from Modale High School with the class of 1942 and attended Iowa State Teachers College for one semester. He was prominent in both basketball and base ball during his school days and was president of his class.He enlisted on 17 February 1944 and was sent overseas in August 1944.
