Pfc Lester L. Faigley graduated from
Charleston HS and attended Morris Harvey College. Before entering the army, he was a chief preceptor at the Libbey-Owens Glass Co. He was a deacon in the First Baptist church. He entered the army in February, 1944 and had been overseas since September.

He was killed when he stepped on a land mine.
