T/Sgt Homer H. Schruers graduated from Oil City High School and was employed as a dresser by the United Natural Gas Co.
He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 18 July 1942.
From November 1944 untill December 1944 he was hospitalized for enterocolitis.
He was killed by small arms fire.
