Cpl Clarence Walters was a stoonman employed by the Montgomery Ward & Co.He was reported missing in action on 2 October 1944 when B Company was holding defensive positions in the vicinity of Chemincourt, France.
He was officially declared dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.
He is remembered in the crypt of the First Unitarian Church in Chicago.
