Pvt Clifford L. Turrill attended the Marietta High School and was a chauffeur employed by Merry & Clister Contracting Co. before he enlisted in Clarksburg, West Virginia on 29 October 1943. He trained at Fort Hayes, Ohio and Camp Blanding, Florida.
Clifford was killed by machine gun fire.
