Pvt Orlando J. Potito was a barber before he enlisted in New York City, New York on 19 February 1943.

He was severely wounded on 22 November 1944 by artillery shell fragments in his legs, ribs, and costal cartilage. That day, F Company was in regimental reserve in Viller, France. The exact location where he died is not known.
