S/Sgt Dominick A. Carabino was employed at the Payne Coal Co. before he enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 18 July 1942. He was sent overseas on 5 July 1944.He was seriously wounded in action on 14 September when the 3rd Battalion attacked Atton and Mousson Hill, France.
