Pvt Aubrey H. Knight attended high school for four years and was a smith employed by the William J. Foley Co. before he enlisted at Fort Logan, Colorado on 29 April 1944.

In May 1944 he was hospitalized because he had an allergic reaction on his vaccines.

He was killed that day by a small arms fire.
