Pvt Joseph D. Dulong graduated from the Precious Blood and Mount Carmel Schools and worked at the Holyoke Fabric plant. He was married to Marie Sola Racine on 10 October 1936.He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 9 May 1944 and he received his training at Camp Blanding, Florida and Fort Meade, Maryland before he was sent overseas in October 1944.
