Sgt Clifford Adams enlisted at Fort Thomas Newport, Kentucky on 19 February 1942.

He saw action with his unit in North Africa and the entire campaign of the 36th Division in Italy.

His brother Arnold was also killed during the war and is buried at Lorraine, France.
