Ingvard A. Jensen was a graduate of Bound Brook High School. He was a former employee of R. Hoe & Company plant in Dunellen.
He attended radio school at the Sioux Falls Air Base in South Dakota, and received his wings as an aerial gunner at Harlingen, Texas. He also was stationed at Blythe in California and Rapid City in South Dakota. T/Sgt Jensen was the oldest of four sons, all of whom were in the Army.

Four of the a/c were missing from this mission. What is believed to be a/c 527 K was reported hit by flak in the vicinity of 5305N-1300E at about 1333 hours, then to explode and disintegrate into small pieces. No chutes were reported.
