T/Sgt Leroy P. Marchetti graduated from Medford High School and Medford Vocational School and worked for the Holland Furnace Company.He enlisted on 11 August 1942.
Aircraft was shot down by enemy fighters over the North Sea on return from a bombing mission at Venlo airfield, the Netherlands.
Two weeks before he was to have been married to Miss Enis Willmott, a girl he had met in London, T/Sgt Marchetti was reported missing in action.
