T/Sgt Raymond T. Lent:
Flying as Radio Gunner on Lt Tandy’s crew we were on Capt Harmon’s right wing. I was at the right waist gun when Capt Harmon’s ship was hit by flack about twenty seconds before we reached the bomb release point. The flack hit his right wing tearing part of it off. I lost the ship for a few seconds and when I picked it up again it was in a steep dive near the ground. I saw one chute before the plane was lost to sight. I did not see the plane crash.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Solers, France.
