Henry Krzyzak worked on a farm.He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Albany, New York on 16 January 1942.
The airplane was attacked by enemy fighters.
S/Sgt Krzyzak was killed at his station during these attacks and was already dead when the aircraft crashed.
Four crew members were taken prisoner, six men were killed. They were initially buried at the cemetery of Senne, Germany.
