Pfc Philip Weiner graduated from Chester High School in January 1943 and was employed at Chester Dye Works.He enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 7 June 1943.
He was reported seriously wounded in action on 24 December when E Company left Ettelbruck and moved towards Niederfeulen, where defensive positions were set up. The company was subjected to heavy enemy artillery action.
