S/Sgt Robert F. McGaughey graduated from Randall High School in 1943 and worked on a farm.He enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 7 April 1944.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments to the head.
S/Sgt McGaughey is remembered at Scottsville Cemetery in Scottsville, Mitchell County, Kansas with a memorial marker.
