S/Sgt Francis A. McCollum, enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 12 August 1943, was married and was skilled in manufacturing miscellaneous products.Ship 664 was attacked by fighters. The plane was on fire and had lost its elevator. No chutes were observed. One crew states the ship exploded.
