Julius T. Angelow graduated from Hartford Public High School.

The aircraft was hit by flak over Heligoland. Gas was seen leaking from between #2 engine and the fuselage. The plane did a 180 grade and was last seen going into the clouds. Four crew members were killed, and their remains were removed from the wreckage by Dutch civilians. They were buried in a common grave at the public cemetery of Nes on 14 September 1944.

The remains of S/Sgt Angelo and those of another crew member, Theodore N. Emens were buried together in one wooden casket. Two crew members, Wendell R. Knapp and Thomas H. Cleary could be identified at the time of the burial, the others couldn't.

The remains of Angelo and Emens were recovered after the war and tagged as Unknown X-2000 and X-1999.

S/Sgt Angelo was first buried in a temporary grave at Margraten on 5 November 1945, still as Unknown X-2000. He was disinterred on 15 September 1948 and identified by his tooth chart. His remains were prepared and place in a casket on 7 December 1948 and he was given his final resting place on 23 September 1949.
