Pvt Ralph A. Sheeler was employed at the Cann and Saul Steel Company before he enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 19 July 1944. He was sent overseas on 4 January 1945.

He was last seen when his platoon was entering a mine field in a wooded area near Hartungshof, Germany.

He is remembered at the Fernwood Cemetery in Royersford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
