Pvt Walter A. Losee was a mechanic and repairman before he enlisted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 14 August 1944.He was officially declared dead one year and one day after he was reported missing in action. At that time his unit was fighting in the vicinity of Hartungshof, Germany.
