T/4 Frank V. Distler was a filling station attendant.He enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 26 February 1943.
On 21 August 1944 he was wounded in action in France at his cheek, caused by an explosion. He hospitalized until September.
He was killed by shell fragments.
