T/Sgt Kenneth C. Law attended Galesburg High School.He joined the Air Corps of the Regular Army in Peoria, Illinois on 5 August 1941.
The airplane was hit by flak and attacked by German fighters. The entire crew of nine men bailed out. Eight men survived and were taken prisoner, only T/Sgt Law was killed. The pilot saw his body on the ground. It seemed his parachute failed to open. Later his body was seen, being put on a truck.
T/Sgt Law is also memorialized at Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois.
