George Mc Clintic Jr attended high school for four years and was a sales clerk at Stricklands Pharmacy.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States at Morrison Field, Florida on 30 March 1942.
Four B-17s of the squadron took part in a night raid with the RAF. This aircraft was attacked by enemy fighters and shot down. Three crew members survived and were taken prisoner, seven men were killed.
