S/Sgt Delano E. Williams graduated from John Fitch High School in 1942. He worked at the Fuller Brush Company and the Riverside Trust Company.He enlisted on 5 February 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut. He left 15 June 1943 for England.
The aircraft was shot down by flak.
Five crew members survived and were taken prisoner. Five men were killed. They were initially buried at the cemetery of Gross-Karben.
