Clyde J. Williamson graduated from R. L. Paschal High School in 1942.

He enlisted in Dallas, Texas on 14 December 1942.

The mission took place on 18 March 1945.

There was moderate to intense accurate flak over Berlin and no opposition from enemy aircraft. This airplane was in formation over the target, bombed the target, and then was lost in the contrails.

2nd Lt Clyde Williamson bailed out over Berlin. The rest of the crew bailed out between Berlin and Strausberg.

Five crew members survived and were taken prisoner, three men were killed.

Lt Williamson was officially declared dead one day and one year after he was reported missing in action.
