Pfc Frederick D. Noonan enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 24 May 1943.He had gone overseas in December 1944 and in the few remaining months of war saw service in Holland, Belgium and Germany. He fought during the German winter offensive in the Ardennes and at the Battle of the Colmar Pocket in Alsace, France, when the Germans were driven back across the Rhine River.
