Pfc Robert L. Maslin enlisted in Erie, Pennsylvania on 24 June 1943.
Following basic training at Anniston, Alabama, he was assigned to the Army Specialized Training Program at City College in New York, New York. All too soon, as a result of the German offensive, the Program was scrapped and he was sent back into the infantry.

He was was killed by a sniper.
