Pfc Melvin R. Halverson enlisted on 22 March 1944. He trained at Fort Sheridan, Illinois, Camp Robinson, Arkansas, Fort Gearge G. Meade, Maryland and Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky. He was sent overseas in October 1944.At the time of his death his brother Arnold served with the Army Air Corps at Midland, Texas.
