T/Sgt Harry E. Nicholson attended St. Bernard's and Central High Schools and played on the basketball team and was a Beacon Journal carrier. He was employed at Woodbury Grocery Company.He enlisted at Fort Hayes Columbus, Ohio on 11 March 1943 and was sent overseas in May 1944.
His brother Ernest served in Belgium and his brother Clarence received an honorable discharge after coming back from Guadalcanal with malaria.
