William L. Yandell joined his unit from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on 11 July 1944. On 15 July 1944 he was severely wounded in action and transferred to 42nd Field Hospital. After recovering he rejoined his unit from the 79th Replacement Battalion on 4 December 1944.
