"The plane was riddled by several fighter passes. The Enter-phone was out after the first pass. We were also on fire in the bomb bay and number 2 engine burning. The rest were out. Warning to bail out was given before plane blew up.
Marshall E. Williams was wounded or killed by fighter attack before plane blew up. He was reported killed by the Germans."
