Capt William C. Mc Kee III volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Washington, District of Columbia on 6 February 1942.The airplane collided in mid-air with B-17 #43-37796. Nine crew members were killed, one was rescued out of the water.
Capt Mc Kee is remembered at Arlington National Cemetery.
