John Bradshaw was an engineer.

He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Montgomery, Alabama on 22 January 1942.

The airplane was last seen being attacked by enemy fighters 10 miles west of Scharhom Island, heading east towards the island. Only one parachute was seen leaving the plane before it ditched into the North Sea.

The entire crew of ten men was killed.
