2nd Lt. Kenneth V. Fleming was a farmer.

He enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 2 April 1942.

The aircraft collided in mid-air with another B-24 #42-50868. both aircraft went down. Four parachutes were seen. Two crew members survived and were taken prisoner. Eight were killed and were initially buried in a common grave in the village cemetery of Garbeck.
